# It’s not just you, Claude is down in confirmed outage > Source: > Published: 2026-09-29 14:44:00+00:00 Anthropic has confirmed an outage affecting multiple Claude services this morning. Confirmed [on the Claude Status dashboard](https://status.claude.com/incidents/4xvtc2gnq73l), a “partial outage” is affecting Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, as well as the Claude API and Console. Anthropic confirmed it was aware of the outage just prior to 10:30am ET (7:30am PT). User reports on [*DownDetector*](https://downdetector.com/status/claude-ai/) spiked starting at the top of the hour, with limited reports of ChatGPT and Gemini also being down – these do not appear to be accurate, though, with neither OpenAI nor Google confirming any issues. Previously, there were partial Claude outages on [September 22](https://status.claude.com/incidents/7g1qpkyz5gxh), [September 15](https://status.claude.com/incidents/6304r9jjhj34), and [September 11](https://status.claude.com/incidents/t33dncr5ydvl), as well as [a major outage on September 3](https://9to5google.com/2026/09/03/chatgpt-claude-grok-outages/) that happened at the same time as outages with other AI models including ChatGPT and Grok.
