Is Jev That Good?

Diogo Almeida, who says he co-invented ChatGPT, released a new frontier AI model called Jev through his company typesafe.ai, claiming it is 20-200x faster and 40-400x cheaper than existing models with output tokens free forever at $0.042 per million input tokens. Almeida said he spent the last 2 years in stealth developing a new training method, RLCD, and that Jev is a "frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions" that cannot generate text. The release blog is at typesafe.ai/blog and a waitlist is open for early access.
