Simon Phillips, CTO of CybaVerse, argues that AI is being introduced into Security Operations Centres (SOCs) at the wrong stage, as alert fatigue from thousands of daily alerts remains a persistent problem. He suggests that AI should be applied earlier in the security workflow to reduce the volume of alerts reaching analysts, rather than only at the analysis stage.
