Note: Claude tracking has been available in LLM Pulse for months now… but somehow this post got stuck in our drafts and never made it out
Anthropic says Claude serves more than 300,000 business customers (September 2025). That number matters for AI visibility for a simple reason: a large share of Claude’s answers never happen on claude.ai. They happen inside the tools your buyers already use, from coding assistants to Microsoft 365 Copilot to internal company agents, and every one of them calls the same Claude models through the API.
Table of Contents
If you only measure ChatGPT and Google, you are missing the assistant that a lot of technical, B2B and enterprise buyers use to research, shortlist and compare vendors. Today we are closing that gap.
Why Claude matters for your AI visibility #
Claude has a very different footprint from ChatGPT. It is less about mass consumer reach and more about where decisions get made:
Developers and technical buyers. Claude powers some of the most used coding tools on the market. When an engineer asks “which observability tool should we use?” or “what is the best headless CMS for Next.js?”, the answer often comes from Claude.
Enterprise workflows. Claude is available inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, on major cloud marketplaces and in thousands of internal agents built on the API. Procurement research, vendor comparisons and RFP drafts increasingly start there.
Long, reasoned answers. Claude tends to produce structured, comparative responses with explicit trade-offs. That is great when your brand is framed well and painful when it is framed as “a cheaper but less capable option”.
Our own research on the best Claude AI trackers showed the same pattern many customers told us about: the brands that win in ChatGPT are not always the brands Claude recommends. You only find that out if you measure both.
What Claude tracking adds to LLM Pulse #
Claude works exactly like every other model in your project. No new workflow, no separate dashboard.
| What you get | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Brand visibility in Claude | The percentage of Claude answers that mention your brand across your tracked prompts |
| AI Visibility Score | Position-weighted visibility, so being named first counts more than being named fifth |
| Share of voice | How much of Claude’s attention goes to you versus each tracked competitor |
| Citations and sources | Which domains and URLs Claude relies on when it answers your prompts |
| Sentiment | Whether Claude frames your brand positively, neutrally or negatively, with the exact sentence as evidence |
| Models Comparison | Side-by-side results for the same prompt in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and any other model you track |
If you want a refresher on how these metrics are calculated, our guide to GEO metrics and the deep dive on the AI Visibility Score cover the definitions. How it works #
1. Activate the add-on. Go to Plans & Billing, select Claude, choose weekly or daily tracking and confirm the price for your plan.
2. Your existing prompts start running in Claude. Every prompt already tracked in your project is executed against Claude on the next run. You do not need to recreate anything.
3. Review answers, mentions and sources. Open any prompt to read Claude’s full response, see which brands it mentions, in what order, and which URLs it cited.
4. Compare and act. Use Models Comparison to spot prompts where Claude ignores you while ChatGPT or Gemini recommend you, then turn those gaps into content work with GEO Optimization and recommendations built on your own data.
What this means in practice #
Here are the patterns we see most often once teams switch Claude on:
B2B SaaS brands discover a different competitive set. Claude often recommends developer-first or open source alternatives that never show up in ChatGPT’s shortlist. That changes who you should benchmark against.
Documentation becomes a visibility asset. Clear, well-structured docs, changelogs and comparison pages are exactly what Claude likes to cite. If your docs are behind a login or blocked for Anthropic’s crawlers, you are invisible. Check your setup with our guide on AI bot access to your website, then use Agent Analytics to confirm ClaudeBot is actually visiting.
Framing matters as much as presence. Claude explains trade-offs. Being mentioned as “best for enterprises with complex compliance needs” is very different from “a budget option with limited features”. Sentiment and the exact sentence behind it tell you which story Claude is telling.
“ The first time we ran our own prompts through Claude, it described one of our features better than our own landing page did. It also left us out of two comparisons we were sure we owned. That mix of surprise and humility is exactly why we wanted Claude in the product.

FAQ #
What does Claude tracking mean in LLM Pulse?
It means LLM Pulse runs your tracked prompts against Claude and analyzes every answer for brand mentions, position, citations, sentiment and competitor presence. The results use the same metrics and dashboards as ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest of your models, so you can compare them directly.
Does Claude cite sources?
When Claude uses web search, it returns the URLs it relied on, and LLM Pulse captures them in the citations and sources views. That lets you see which of your pages, and which third-party pages about you, shape Claude’s answers.
How much does Claude tracking cost?
Claude is an add-on starting at 25 € per month on Starter with weekly tracking. The price scales with your plan because it covers every prompt your plan includes, and daily tracking is available on every tier. Full prices are on the AI model add-on pricing page.
Do I need to set anything up?
No. Once you activate the add-on in Plans & Billing, every prompt already in your project runs against Claude on the next execution. Your competitors, tags and collections apply automatically.
How can I improve my visibility in Claude?
Start by making sure Anthropic’s crawlers can reach your key pages, then publish clear comparison, documentation and use-case content that answers the exact questions your buyers ask. Use LLM Pulse to find the prompts where Claude leaves you out, track the sources it cites instead, and measure the impact of every change.
