Younger people are obsessed with longevity. My closest friends are drinking less alcohol. Whatever you notice first is your alpha: something you sense the market hasn't figured out yet. But we've never had the tools to capitalize on these insights.
Instead, we dutifully invest in the same index funds as everyone else (slow-growing and boring), or YOLO into individual assets pushed by algorithms without knowing anything about the fundamentals behind them (highly risky and a great way to lose our shirts).
There’s a better way, and Supertake is here to equip each of us to invest in our intuitions. Supertake connects to agents inside your existing brokerage (like Robinhood or Coinbase), builds a cohesive and well-balanced portfolio of assets – taking countless considerations into account, from financial analysis and competitive dynamics to market cap and historical trends – and then places the trades on your behalf.
From there, Supertake actively manages your take daily and rebalances when necessary, staying aligned with your goals. You can talk to each of your smart portfolios directly from the app or over email, and soon on iMessage and SMS. And Supertake proactively lets you know how things are going, buys when the time is right, and sells when it’s time to cash in, all on its own via Autopilot or with your direct approval. Today, Supertake supports public US-listed equities. Soon, we’ll be adding crypto, derivatives, and even prediction markets, meaning there’s no take that’s too complicated to turn into a Supertake. At Union Square Ventures, my partners and I believe that AI will obliterate existing markets by unlocking human expertise that was previously inaccessible to the masses. Earlier this year, in one of our many thesis discussions on this topic, we landed on a belief that personal finance could be one such market to undergo massive change as a result of AI.
Around the same time, I began personally experimenting with having AI help me invest in stocks. I created a bunch of agents, set them loose on research, and had them make daily spreadsheets about what I should do with my portfolio. I went deep down the AI rabbit hole and started building Supertake.
