The templates are available in the Spidra dashboard and through the Spidra API, SDKs, and MCP server, covering lead generation, e-commerce, jobs, real estate, social media, research, reviews, and documents, with recent additions for Kalshi, CoinMarketCap, and Polymarket. Spidra said it is continuing to add new templates and expand what users can do with existing sources.", "body_md": "Collecting web data often starts with a lot of work before you get anything useful. You need to figure out which pages to visit, what information to extract, how to handle multiple results, and how to turn everything into a dataset you can actually use.\n\nBut what if you already know what you want?\n\nMaybe you need a list of businesses in a particular city, product prices from Amazon, job listings from Indeed, or transcripts from YouTube videos. You shouldn't have to build a scraper from scratch every time.\n\nWe're introducing **Spidra Templates**, ready-made data collection workflows that let you choose a task, provide a few inputs, and get structured results.\n\nNo scraper configuration, CSS selectors, or custom extraction scripts required.\n\nTemplates are available in the [Spidra dashboard](https://app.spidra.io/) and through our [API](https://spidra.io/spidra-api), [SDKs](https://docs.spidra.io/sdks/overview), and [MCP server](https://mcp.spidra.io/), so you can use them directly or build them into your applications.\n\n## What are Spidra Templates?\n\nA template is a ready-made workflow for a specific data collection task.\n\nInstead of starting with an empty scraper and configuring how to collect information, you start with the result you need.\n\nFor example, if you want to find businesses on Google Maps, you can open the **Google Maps Leads** template, enter the type of business you're looking for, specify one or more locations, and run it.\n\nSpidra handles the collection process and returns the results in a structured table, with fields such as business names, phone numbers, websites, addresses, and ratings.\n\nThe same idea applies to other tasks, whether you're researching products, collecting job listings, analyzing reviews, or gathering information for an application.\n\nEach template provides its own inputs and output fields, so you know what information to provide and what to expect back.\n\n## Find the right template for your task\n\nThe Templates catalog covers different types of web data, including lead generation, e-commerce, jobs, real estate, social media, research, reviews, and documents.\n\nHere are a few ways you can use it.\n\n- **Find businesses and contact information.** Search Google Maps for businesses in specific locations, collect available contact details, or extract public contact information from company websites.\n- **Research products and prices.** Collect product details from Amazon, explore search results, or retrieve best-selling products in a category. These datasets can support competitor analysis, product research, and price tracking.\n- **Explore job opportunities and hiring trends.** Search job listings on Indeed or LinkedIn using keywords and locations. Retrieve available information such as job titles, companies, locations, and descriptions.\n- **Collect social media and content data.** Retrieve YouTube video information and transcripts, explore public social content, or collect information relevant to content and audience research.\n- **Research property listings.** Collect publicly available real estate information from sources such as Zillow, including property details and prices.\n\nWe're also expanding the catalog into additional areas. Recent additions include templates for **Kalshi, CoinMarketCap, and Polymarket**, alongside other new data sources and research workflows.\n\nAnd one website doesn't mean just one template.\n\nGoogle Maps, for example, can be useful for discovering businesses or collecting reviews. Amazon can be used for product details, keyword searches, or bestseller research. Each task needs different inputs and produces different results, so you'll find separate templates designed around those needs.\n\nWe're continuing to add new templates and expand what you can do with existing sources.\n\nYou can explore the available options in the [Templates catalog](https://spidra.io/templates).\n\n## How to use a template\n\nUsing a template is straightforward. We'll use Google Maps Leads as an example, but the process is similar across the catalog.\n\n### 1. Choose a template\n\nSign in to your Spidra account and open **Templates** from the dashboard sidebar.\n\nYou can browse the available categories, search for a website or task, or choose from the featured templates.\n\nSelect **Google Maps Leads** to open its configuration form.\n\n### 2. Enter what you're looking for\n\nEvery template asks for the information needed to run its task. For Google Maps Leads, you can enter a business category, the locations you want to search, and the number of search-result pages to collect.\n\nLet's say you want to find dental clinics in Lekki, Lagos.\n\nYou would enter:\n\n- **Business type:** roofing contractor\n- **Area:**  - Dalla, Texas\n  - Phoenix, Azizona\n  - Tampa, Florida\n- **Pages per area:** 1\n\nThe template also offers an option to look for public email addresses and social media profiles on the businesses' websites.\n\nYou can leave that option off if you only need Google Maps listing information.\n\n### 3. Run the template and review your data\n\nOnce the inputs are ready, click **Run**. Spidra collects the requested information and presents the results in a table. Each row represents a record, while the columns contain the fields relevant to that template.\n\nFor the example above, a completed run returned business names, categories, phone numbers, websites, ratings, and addresses.\n\nYou can review the data directly in the dashboard, choose which columns to display, or switch to JSON view to inspect the full structured response.\n\nYou can also export the results as CSV for spreadsheets or JSON for applications and other data workflows.\n\nFor a complete walkthrough of this example, including the dashboard steps and output, see our [guide to extracting Google Maps leads with Spidra](https://spidra.io/blog/how-to-extract-google-maps-leads-with-spidra).\n\n## Run the same templates from your code or AI agent\n\nTemplates aren't limited to the dashboard. Each template is also accessible through the Spidra REST API, official SDKs, and MCP server. This means you can start with a template in the dashboard and use the same workflow programmatically when you're ready to build an application.\n\nFor example, you can run the Google Maps Leads template using a single API request:\n\n```\ncurl -X POST https://api.spidra.io/api/templates/google-maps-leads/runs \\\n  -H \"Authorization: Bearer $SPIDRA_API_KEY\" \\\n  -H \"Content-Type: application/json\" \\\n  -d '{\n    \"inputs\": {\n      \"query\": \"dentist\",\n      \"areas\": [\"Lekki, Lagos\"]\n    },\n    \"wait\": true\n  }'\n```\n\nThe request uses the template's identifier and the same inputs you would provide in the dashboard.\n\nFor a completed run, the response includes the run status, input settings, usage information, and structured rows.\n\nHere's a shortened response from the example:\n\n```\n{\n  \"status\": \"completed\",\n  \"rowCount\": 20,\n  \"rows\": [\n    {\n      \"position\": 1,\n      \"title\": \"Hilton Dental Clinic Lekki\",\n      \"category\": \"Dentist\",\n      \"phone\": \"+234 701 007 5124\",\n      \"rating\": 4.9\n    }\n  ]\n}\n```\n\nThis example shows a previously completed run. Results can change as the underlying website data changes. Longer-running requests may return a run ID that you can use to retrieve the results after processing finishes.\n\nUsing the SDKs, you can call templates directly from your application without writing the HTTP request yourself.\n\nAnd if you work with AI assistants such as Claude or Cursor, the Spidra MCP server lets your assistant discover available templates, inspect their inputs, and run them using natural-language requests.\n\nFor developers, this means you can use a ready-made data collection task as part of a larger workflow instead of rebuilding it from the beginning.\n\nSee the [Templates documentation](https://docs.spidra.io/templates) for the API, SDK, and MCP options.\n\n## Save your workflow or monitor it for changes\n\nSometimes you only need a dataset once. Other times, you want to collect similar information regularly.\n\nTemplates work with Spidra's **Presets** and **Monitors** to support both.\n\nA preset saves a template with its inputs so you can run the same task again without filling out the form each time.\n\nFor example, you could save a Google Maps Leads search for restaurants in Lagos and rerun it whenever you need an updated list.\n\nA monitor takes this further by running the template on a schedule and checking for changes.\n\nDepending on the data you're collecting, that could mean detecting newly returned businesses, job listings, products, or other records.\n\nYou can receive notifications through email, Slack, Discord, or a webhook.\n\nThis is useful for recurring work such as competitor research, market monitoring, and tracking new listings.\n\nYou can learn more about [Spidra Monitors](https://spidra.io/monitors) and how they work with your saved jobs.\n\n## How much do templates cost?\n\nTemplates use the same credit system as the underlying Spidra tools. You don't need a separate template subscription. The cost depends on the work a template performs, such as the pages it reads or any additional extraction steps required.\n\nFor example, a template collecting search results may use credits based on the pages processed. A template that also visits individual websites to collect more information can require additional credits.\n\nEvery template provides a cost estimate before you run it, so you can review the expected usage first.\n\nBrowsing the catalog, inspecting templates, and estimating costs are free. Failed pages and failed runs aren't charged.\n\nTemplates are available across Spidra plans, including the free plan, which comes with initial credits to explore the platform.\n\nFor more information, see [how Spidra credits work](https://docs.spidra.io/billing/how-credits-work).\n\n## Don't see the template you need? Tell us.\n\nWe're building Templates around the kinds of data people actually need.\n\nThe catalog is growing, and we know there are many more websites and workflows worth supporting.\n\nIf you're looking for a particular website, dataset, or extraction task that isn't available yet, we'd love to hear about it.\n\nMaybe you want to collect a specific type of business information, monitor a particular marketplace, extract records from a research platform, or build a dataset that you currently have to assemble manually.\n\nTell us what you're trying to achieve.\n\nIt helps if you can share the website, the information you want to collect, an example URL, and whether you need the data once or regularly.\n\nYou can reach the team through our [contact page](https://spidra.io/contact) or email [**\\[email protected\\]**](https://spidra.io/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#f49c9198989bb487849d908695da9d9b).\n\nWe review these requests as we decide what to build and improve next. Your use case could help shape a future template.\n\n## Start with the data you need\n\nSpidra already provides tools for searching, scraping, crawling, and extracting information from the web. Templates make common data collection tasks easier to get started with.\n\nYou don't need to figure out the entire extraction process before seeing useful results. Choose a ready-made task, provide your inputs, and get structured data you can inspect, export, or use in your application.\n\nAnd when the task becomes something you need regularly, you can save it, schedule it, or run it through the API.\n\n[**Explore Spidra Templates**](https://spidra.io/templates) and try a workflow that matches what you're working on.", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-spidra-templates-get-the-data-you-need-without-the-setup", "canonical_source": "https://spidra.io/blog/introducing-spidra-templates", "published_at": "2026-11-03 00:00:00+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-11-03 09:25:12.057875+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-tools", "agent-protocols", "ai-agents"], "entities": ["Spidra", "Spidra Templates", "Google Maps", "Amazon", "Indeed", "YouTube", "Zillow", "Kalshi"], "also_reported_by": [], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-spidra-templates-get-the-data-you-need-without-the-setup", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-spidra-templates-get-the-data-you-need-without-the-setup.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-spidra-templates-get-the-data-you-need-without-the-setup.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-spidra-templates-get-the-data-you-need-without-the-setup.jsonld"}}
