It's a workspace where people and agents work from the same specs, runbooks, and onboarding pages, kept current as your work changes. We already run Mintlify's own internal knowledge on it. This post was written, edited, and rewritten using Base.\n\nBase runs on the same platform that powers Mintlify Docs, built for internal knowledge. The same editor, agents, and MCP server that serve your customers and their agents now serve your team and its agents.\n\n## [Agents read your internal knowledge too](#agents-read-your-internal-knowledge-too)\n\nAgents already account for more than [three-quarters](https://www.mintlify.com/data) of the traffic to the docs we host. The agents your team uses read internal pages the same way, and they [act on whatever context they're given](https://www.mintlify.com/blog/context-for-agents). When a runbook is out of date, the agent repeats the old answer with confidence, and someone on your team spends the afternoon cleaning it up.\n\nMost internal sites were built for people reading pages, with AI search added later. Search can find a page, but it can't fix one that's wrong.\n\n## [What you can do in Base](#what-you-can-do-in-base)\n\nBase organizes knowledge into **Personal** pages for drafts you can share when they're ready, a **Shared with me** view for pages teammates send you, and a **Teamspace** for company-wide knowledge organized by folders.\n\n### [Write with an agent in the editor](#write-with-an-agent-in-the-editor)\n\nStart from an idea, and an agent helps you draft, develop, and refine the page. Teammates can contribute from the web editor, the CLI, or their IDE, or hand the work to [Mintlify Agent](https://www.mintlify.com/docs/agent) from the dashboard or Slack.\n\nTeammates review pages with comments and suggestions. Just tag Mintlify Agent in a comment on a section, the same way you'd tag a teammate. The agent edits the page without you leaving the conversation.\n\nGive the agent your style guide, review checklist, or page templates once as a [skill](https://www.mintlify.com/docs/editor/agent#skills), and it follows them on every page. Teamspace is backed by Git, so every change has history, but edits merge automatically. Nobody has to open or review a pull request to update a page.\n\n### [Connect every agent through MCP](#connect-every-agent-through-mcp)\n\nBase includes a built-in [MCP server](https://mintlify.com/docs/ai/model-context-protocol), so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your in-house agents all read from the same source of truth. Mintlify also ships an [Admin MCP](https://mcp.mintlify.com) that gives those same agents write access: they can edit pages, restructure navigation, open pull requests, and manage settings.\n\nPages are stored as Markdown files in a filesystem, the format agents already know how to search and navigate. In a controlled experiment we ran with a large engineering team using Claude Code on monorepos, structured Markdown [used about half the tokens and made agents 64% more precise](https://www.mintlify.com/blog/structured-docs-coding-agents).\n\n### [Turn dense text into shareable interactive pages](#turn-dense-text-into-shareable-interactive-pages)\n\nBase turns long pages into editable, interactive pages with graphics, tables, and filters your team can scan at a glance. Pages support React components, and Mintlify Agent can create visual elements for you, including images, videos, Mermaid diagrams, and visualizations. Share pages internally with your team or externally as read-only links.\n\n### [Coming soon: Page verification](#coming-soon-page-verification)\n\nSoon, Base will tell you which pages are still right. Mark a page as verified and set an expiration date, so it comes up for review again before it goes stale. If a page is wrong or out of date, mark it as outdated or not verified for a set period of time. Readers can see who last verified a page, so they know whether to trust it.\n\n## [Get started](#get-started)\n\nBase is in beta, and any team can sign up. Parts of it will change as we build with early teams.\n\nFor the bigger picture, Han wrote about [why we built Base](https://www.mintlify.com/blog/your-wiki-is-becoming-a-codebase).\n\n#### More blog posts to read\n\n[AnnouncementsHW](https://www.mintlify.com/blog/your-wiki-is-becoming-a-codebase)\n\n### Your wiki is becoming a codebase\n\nAgents now write and read most of what companies know, but wikis are still updated by hand. Knowledge needs the same care engineers give code: tracked, reviewed, and kept current by agents.\n\nOctober 29, 2026\nHan Wang\n\nCo-Founder\n\n[AnnouncementsDF](https://www.mintlify.com/blog/mint-deploy)\n\n### Your agent can now publish your docs\n\nAgents can publish a live Mintlify site from the terminal without an account or GitHub repository. You can claim the site within 24 hours.\n\nOctober 28, 2026\nDenzell Ford\n\nEngineering", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-mintlify-base", "canonical_source": "https://www.mintlify.com/blog/introducing-mintlify-base", "published_at": "2026-10-29 00:00:00+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-10-29 17:48:16.511198+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-agents", "agent-protocols", "ai-tools", "ai-search", "artificial-intelligence"], "entities": ["Mintlify", "Mintlify Base", "Mintlify Docs", "Mintlify Agent", "Admin MCP", "Claude", "ChatGPT", "Cursor"], "also_reported_by": [], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-mintlify-base", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-mintlify-base.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-mintlify-base.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/introducing-mintlify-base.jsonld"}}
