Personal AI agents should work for you without taking over your digital life. As agents become increasingly capable of automating tasks, prototyping apps, and making work and personal projects easier, control and convenience should go hand in hand. Today we are announcing the [__1Password for Agents platform__](http://1password.com/personal-ai-agent-integrations), which helps agents work while keeping the credentials they need secure and making access something every user can see, approve, and manage.

Planning a great event can be rewarding, but organizing one while juggling the rest of your responsibilities is not. Now you can ask an agent to handle the preparations, coordinate dates, and create and send invites, while you design an unforgettable experience.

The degree of usefulness of your agent depends on its ability to log in to the accounts and accomplish all of the tasks you’ve given it. When an agent reaches a sign-in page, the agent stops and asks for the credential that would allow it to sign in on your behalf. When this happens, you face a choice. You could take control of the agent session and manually enter your username and password into the website each time, which is slow and tedious. You could paste your password into a prompt, which means allowing the agent to have access to your credential, potentially beyond the task at hand. Neither of those are acceptable.

Now, with 1Password for Agents, your agent can request to use a credential from your vault, and if you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credentials in the destination site so the agent doesn’t have access to the credentials.

1Password is the best option for keeping your agents working without letting them see your passwords. You control what agents access and when, all the way from the prompt to the party.

1Password for Agents makes secure sign-in standard for the personal AI agents people use today. With integrations for Muse, from Meta, Anthropic’s Claude Duet, OpenAI ChatGPT Work and dots, SpaceXSI Grok Bot, and Town Townie, 1Password lets you choose the right agents for any task without handing over your credentials or managing passwords across multiple systems. Additional integrations with Instinct, Browserbase, Browser Use, Dana, KERNEL, Perplexity, Ramp, Tomo, and Wajo are coming soon.

1Password’s integration with each agent unlocks that agent’s potential in unique ways.

**Muse** – *integrations rolling out over the coming days across all platforms* – turns goals into action plans and keeps working as circumstances change, requesting logins from 1Password when using the integration, so people stay in charge of what Muse can reach.

**Anthropic’s Claude Duet** – *integrations coming soon* – works inside the tools teams already use to proactively get work done on their behalf. The 1Password integration gives Claude approved access when needed, so users can accomplish tasks without handing over their passwords.

**OpenAI ChatGPT Work and dots** – *integrations coming soon* – work with 1Password to sign into sites across the interest to help users get things done. Users approve sign-ins, and the passwords aren’t exposed to the AI model.

**SpaceXSI Grok Bot** – *integrations rolling out over the coming days across all platforms* – provides AI teammates that work across tools, inboxes, and websites. With 1Password, Grok Bot can use approved logins while credentials stay protected, helping you automate routine work more safely.

**Town Townie** – *web and iOS integrations coming soon* – gives every user a Townie, an assistant that learns their people, projects, and voice from their email, calendar, and work tools. It drafts, schedules, and follows up for them, and works with teammates’ Townies when a job involves other people. With 1Password, employees approve the logins a Townie needs and 1Password fills them in, so the Townie can keep working without ever seeing the password.

With 1Password for Agents, when an agent reaches a login, the agent app prompts you for the credential it needs from 1Password to continue. Review the requested credential and approve it in 1Password, all without exposing your password or one-time code to the agent.

1Password is the standard for trusting AI agents with passwords, secrets, and credentials. For anyone building a personal agent, 1Password gives users a seamless, secure way to approve sign-ins when an agent reaches a login prompt. You build the agent, 1Password secures the sign-in.

Integrate with 1Password for Agents to give users a seamless, secure way to approve sign-ins when their agent reaches a login.

Convenience shouldn’t come at the expense of your privacy or control. An agent can make your weekly grocery list into an Instacart order or turn receipts from work trips into expense reports, but it should only access the accounts those tasks require based on the logins you approve.

Browser-password managers aren’t designed to let an agent sign in on your behalf. People who use browser-saved passwords or passwords written in notes have discovered that their agents cannot use those passwords. Each time the agent reaches a login, the agent has to stop until you take over and sign in manually before your agent can continue.

With 1Password for Agents, enabling agents to sign in is simple, fast, and completely within the users’ control.

Your passwords stay organized, and your vault stays protected. You can see and approve what will be shared and disconnect the integration at any time.

With the 1Password integration for Muse, for example, you can ask an agent to create a party invitation, track RSVPs, and search for supplies on your budget. Muse requests access to RSVPify and Oriental Trading as needed. You choose which 1Password login it can use, and Muse will be able to get your party started without seeing the credentials or accessing anything else in your 1Password vault.

1Password makes it easy to work with multiple agents simultaneously. Connect your agents to 1Password, and when an agent needs access to a login, 1Password facilitates it. Regardless of which agents you use, you stay in charge of what they can do and when. 1Password and the teams behind each supported agent design the integration to keep your credentials separate from the agent, so supported agents can continue working without needing to see or handle your credentials. The safeguards and controls vary by integration.

*1Password for Agents is currently available at no additional cost for 1Password Individual and Family accounts on* __1Password.com__*.* Accounts on [__1Password.eu__](http://1password.eu) or [__1Password.ca__](http://1password.ca) aren’t currently supported. *Availability, platforms, and capabilities vary by partner integration.*

We’re building more every day. Let us know what AI agent you’re interested in and we’ll let you know when it launches.

The growing number of personal agents offers different ways to automate work. The agent you use to plan a trip may not be the one you use for work or on a project you’re building.

1Password for Agents builds on the [__security model__](https://support.1password.com/confidential-computing-security/) you know and trust from 1Password and lets you confidently use your personal agents of choice seamlessly across browsers, cloud computers, and work applications.

From personal errands to workforce agents that build business applications and development workflows, 1Password is the standard for securing personal agents. Your credentials stay in one vault, so when a password changes, you update it once and connected agents can keep using the current login without you having to update it in multiple places.

1Password is building a simpler, safer digital future for everyone, including the AI agents helping you work.

Let your agent do the work without handing over your passwords. 1Password keeps the credentials behind your digital life protected while giving supported agents what they need to complete the tasks you approve.
