Intel has a new champion: the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. Complaints about poor gaming performance have been largely addressed by this processor, as it delivers better performance than the Core Ultra 9 285K in pretty much every aspect. So, there is finally a good reason to move to the LGA 1851 platform without sacrificing gaming performance. This is great for those who want a well-rounded performance and a processing beast in their rigs.
With this Amazon deal, you can get your hands on this incredible CPU for only $312.95, but keep in mind that there is only 1 unit left in stock. So, if you’re interested, we recommend you grab it as soon as possible. For this processor, if you’re looking for a suitable motherboard, we’ve covered the best Z890 mainboards as well.

Still not as good as Ryzen offerings

Why you should get the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
Better gaming performance than the Intel flagship
The biggest attraction of this processor is that it delivers better gaming performance. This was the biggest drawback of the 285K, and that is why many chose to shift to Ryzen or simply upgrade to the 9000 lineup. This is because the value for money was better and the performance was great across the board. However, with this CPU now available, Intel has a better fighting chance to keep its place in the market, even though it is nowhere near what the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is capable of in gaming.
That being said, it is without a doubt a solid addition to the lineup and can easily be paired with the best graphics card on the market for the best experience.
Outperforms the 285K in multi-threaded workflows as well
It might have the ‘Ultra 7’ marking, but the core and thread count is the same as the 285K, as well as the 250W TDP. So, for all intents and purposes, it is a premium processor that costs less but still churns out better figures in every test. Intel did a great job of bringing attention back to Arrow Lake processors, but there is little reason to opt for the flagship now. AI, encoding, complication, data compression, simulations, and other demanding tasks, this processor was able to handle with better efficiency, and that is why only 1 unit is left in stock, the reason it is selling like hot cakes.
