The tool answers plain-English questions like \"why is this pod crashing?\", performs root cause analysis, detects anomalies, and can automatically restart pods, scale deployments, or cordon nodes. It is built with Python, FastAPI, Redis, PostgreSQL, and optional Ollama for local AI, and is available at github.com/isidhartha/infra-os.", "body_md": "I was on-call for a service once and got paged at 2am for a Kubernetes cluster that was falling apart in three different ways simultaneously. I spent 45 minutes running kubectl commands to understand what was happening before I could even start fixing it. InfraOS AI is my answer to that problem .\n\nIt's a DevOps operations platform that connects to your Kubernetes cluster, pulls in everything that's happening — pods, deployments, resource usage, events, Prometheus metrics — and gives you an AI layer to make sense of it all. You can ask \"why is this pod crashing?\" in plain English and get a real answer, not a wall of log output .\n\n🛠️ What it does:\n\nCluster Monitoring — Live view of your nodes, pods, deployments, and services. Health status, restart counts, resource requests vs. limits.\n\nNatural Language Queries — Ask questions like \"Which pods have restarted more than 5 times in the last hour?\" and it translates these into the right queries.\n\nRoot Cause Analysis — When something breaks, it traces back through events, logs, and metrics to figure out why.\n\nAnomaly Detection — Watches your metrics over time and flags unusual patterns before they become incidents.\n\nAutomated Remediation — For common problems it can take action directly: restart a crashed pod, scale a deployment, or cordon a misbehaving node.\n\nMock Mode — No Kubernetes cluster? No problem. Set K8S_MOCK_MODE=true and it generates realistic fake cluster data for exploring the UI.\n\n🧰 Tech Stack\n\nPython, FastAPI, Kubernetes API, Prometheus, Grafana, Redis, PostgreSQL, and optional Ollama for local AI.\n\n🔗 Get Started\n\nCheck out the repo: [github.com/isidhartha/infra-os](//github.com/isidhartha/infra-os)", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster", "canonical_source": "https://dev.to/isidhartha/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster-2fk", "published_at": "2026-09-11 09:25:51+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-09-11 09:33:20.402389+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-tools", "ai-agents", "mlops", "ai-infrastructure", "developer-tools"], "entities": ["InfraOS AI", "Kubernetes", "FastAPI", "Prometheus", "Grafana", "Redis", "PostgreSQL", "Ollama"], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/infraos-ai-stop-staring-at-graphs-just-ask-your-cluster.jsonld"}}
