The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Shri Sanjay Malhotra, today unveiled new UPI capabilities at GFF 2026, bringing greater speed, convenience and intelligence to digital payments.
UPI ‘Tap & Pay’ - Enables faster UPI payments by simply unlocking an NFC-enabled smartphone and tapping it on an NFC-enabled Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal.
MyUPI - An AI-powered platform that provides a suite of intelligent, customer-centric enhancements in UPI Help, aimed at strengthening trust, safety and convenience across the UPI ecosystem.
The launch took place in the presence of Shri Ajay Kumar Choudhary, Non-Executive Chairman and Independent Director, NPCI, along with senior bankers, FinTech founders, and other participants from the banking and FinTech ecosystem.
