I recently stayed at an Airbnb with a pool and ended up playing poolboy, scooping leaves and other debris manually with a net. Maintaining a tidy pool is a lot of work, but it doesn’t have to fall on you thanks to iGarden.

**Pros:**

- Initial set-up is quite simple
- The filter system is easy to access for cleanup
- Effectively cleared most debris from the pool

**Cons:**

- Doesn’t skim the pool at water level

The popular pool tech brand recently unleashed their [M1-AI 9H Robotic Pool Cleaner ](https://link.foshotech.com/49dLYo2)model, which I put to the test in a pool on Long Island after a storm. After watching the M1-AI 9H do its thing, it seems as essential to pool owners as a pump and a filter.

**Our review**

If The Jetsons lived on the ground in suburbia rather than a pod in the sky, they would undoubtedly own the iGarden M1-AI 9H. It’s the hands-off pool gadget of the future, available to you right here and now in 2026.

There are so many gadgets out there with built-in AI that make so many promises, but observing this little robot work its magic under the water was a sight to behold.

The 9H had quite the leafy mess to address — and it did so with flying colors.

This model is designed to pick up over 40 common types of debris thanks to the two ultra-HD cameras working in tandem with the internal AI system, OmniLogic. There’s also a new and improved AI logic that helps the vacuum conserve energy by only exerting extra power to perform tasks like climbing walls and other more demanding actions.

One of the coolest features is how the M1-AI is designed to improve with every use. The more you run it, the more it learns your pool’s layout…which means you’ll get a quicker and more thorough cleaning as time goes on. How many gadgets do you know that get better with age?

**How to clean the iGarden M1-AI 9H **

Once the session is complete, clean up is a cinch. The machine has double-layer filtration to suck up larger pieces as well as smaller debris like hair, sand and other fine particles. When you’ve powered down the device and laid it down on a flat surface, there are latches for pulling out the basket for emptying. It’s recommended that you discard any debris after every use.

## Before

## After

**Is it worth it?**

If you’ve been in the market for a pool vacuum that requires very little maintenance, the M1-AI is the way to go. You can expect to get around 30 days of use out of a single full charge and while completion time varies depending on the size of the pool and amount of debris, this is designed to work in the background while you’re busy going about your life, focused on other things. No babysitting needed! That kind of independence is well worth the price if you ask me.

**How we tested**

Our testing process was as follows:

**Efficiency:** Did it actually clean up the debris at the bottom of the pool?**Water Clarity:** Did it reduce murkiness in the water?**AI Navigation:** Did it navigate the pool surface well?**Acoustics:** How much noise does it make?

The pictures speak for themselves. Prior to using the 9H, a summer storm left plenty of sticks, leaves, and more to give our little friend a run for its money. After allowing around 5 hours for the cleaner to fully charge up, we used the app to initiate the cleaning process.

As the session got underway, I was immediately struck by the sound of silence. While many cleaners out there can be distractingly loud, the M1-AI lets you enjoy a little peace and quiet while it handles the task. Between that and the built-in lights to help it see after dark, it’s like a helper elf operating out of sight and mind.

The initial cleaning took about 2 hours to complete. There’s also an AI mode, which can do a quick 20-minute job. The vacuum’s AI tech and dual-camera vision help it map out your pool to target every nook and cranny of the floor and walls. At the end of the session, the debris was gone and the water was noticeably clearer.
