Well, we built skills that can tell you “No”. They say “That idea is duplicative,” or “Your customer is not specific enough”. And man, is this worth its weight in gold! One of the things near and dear to our hearts at[ productMind](https://productmind.co) is helping builders really understand what’s happening and what’s coming, as we enter a new AI age. And here’s one hot take: Code generation is, well, a bit trite now. Content generation is the [easiest thing an LLM can do](https://substack.productmind.co/p/the-ai-revolution-runs-on-five-building). And to a large language model, code and text are very similar types of generation. You could even argue that code is easier; it’s a defined problem with a deterministic result based on syntax. We have even written textbooks about how to do it well, and all the LLMs have read them in their training montage. Writing the Odyssey (literature more generally) however, is not a solved problem; it’s harder. If it wasn’t, we would not be able to quickly detect AI slop from models trained on BuzzFeed-style writing. So code is ‘easy’, and that’s why it’s one of the reasons it’s the first killer app for LLMs. All of Anthropic’s profits go through Claude Code, and they’re even bigger than OpenAI now on the back of that. What’s hard is judgement. All day long, these things you build rely on your judgement and orchestration, or else they produce suboptimal output. You’re the *experienced human* in the loop. We have a maxim: a tech company is 3 things: And many builders don’t do the last two very well.
