I redesigned my app five times tonight and shipped one

What shipped in 0.5.10

  • The conversation sits in a rounded panel, inset from the window.
  • Chats are grouped under their projects in the sidebar, and each project folds away.
  • The current chat has an outlined highlight that glides when you switch.
  • The new project form suggests folders as you type. ~/D shows Desktop, Documents, and Downloads.
  • The message box gets a focus ring.
  • A stray glow line in one dialog is gone.

The lesson

Trying a design costs a few minutes. Keeping the wrong one costs a lot more.

So try everything. Look at it for real, in both themes, on a phone. Then keep only what still feels right the next time you open the app.
