I need a new kind of Open Source Software License: "AGPL Pro Max" A developer proposes a new open source license called 'AGPL Pro Max' to extend copyleft protections to large language models trained on open source code. The license would require that any LLM trained on open source software must also be made open source. The developer questions whether such a license already exists and calls for community adoption. As far as I know, AGPL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU Affero General Public License doesn't cover Large Language Models. I think it should, but it doesn't. Going forward, we need a new kind of Copy Left https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyleft License for Open Source Software - something that covers LLMs as well. I mean, your LLM can be trained with my Open Source Software, but only if it's made Open Source as well I'm calling it AGPL Pro Max 😎 Someone please give it a better name, and make it popular among developers. 🙏🏼 Question: Does something like this exist already? If so, then what is it? If not, then why not 🤷
