So AI is getting scary good now, and the trends in tech I think are moving much faster now, and what’s even crazier is that I have no idea how any of it is gonna actually get monetized... because the trends are mainly about automating everything and driving the cost of doing anything to literally zero, which if you think about it is what computers are for anyway, right lol?
So I’m gonna provide you with one real-world example I just came across in regular coding, just so you get a sense of what is happening right now.
So let’s just take GitHub for this example. One of my old friends calls me and tells me their site is broken, DreamHost took it down cuz it got hacked and it’s now offline. Ok DreamHost… wtf, some random hosting provider I never heard of, ok fine… so after trying to navigate through the website for like an hour to get a backup, I finally have SSH access to the FTP server… ok great, let me just boot up Claude Code and make it SSH in and get all the backups… ok done. Ok, can you also analyze the hack? Yea done, here is what’s infected and what it was doing… ok, some Indonesian bot-redirect farm… idk, doesn’t matter. The agent then fully disinfects the filesystem and SQL DB.
Ok great, looks good, it’s up… but hey you know what, why even host on here? WordPress? It’s 2026, why are people still using this?
I did back and forth for like 10 minutes and figured out this: the agent will simply scrape the current site and reconstruct a repo where GitHub Actions CI/CD literally builds the site from scratch every run and pushes baked pages to Cloudflare Pages. This setup is effectively free because minutes are free, the CI/CD agent is basically 0.1 cent per run via the DeepSeek 4.1 Flash API (ALMOST FREE), GitHub Actions are FREE, Cloudflare Pages egress is FREE.
What does this give me? An end client with zero coding ability now literally has a GitHub account where they can edit and deploy the website by creating an issue. Then the agent simply takes the prompt, does a zero-shot fix on whatever the user wants (within limits), runs with it, and deploys to Cloudflare Pages so the user can see a link to the deployed version attached to the issue and request, and if they like it, they merge it themselves.
They can now do basically whatever they need to do for basic changes, e.g. adding new pages / adding news / adding links / whatever. What’s crazy is that GitHub is not even designed for this yet.
And there is no third-party solution for this… the whole thing was zero-shot initially w/ Opus 5.5, and then DeepSeek as a cheap flash model for updating simple stuff.
Then I was like ok… this is cool, but this means now it can fully redesign the site into basically whatever… yep, and it did in like 20 seconds. I gave it some reference snippets of Cloudflare landing page geometric shapes and it took it and ran, and even added a cool physics effect for a bike chain on the sides of the page, and everything is pixel perfect.

So this is the first basic example, but just let this sink in… there’s no CMS nor a DB, hosting is free, and it’s just one repo black-box blob… I didn’t even read the code lmao. All I had to do for this basic setup was verify that the statically generated HTML output looks good and that there are green checkmarks in the GitHub Actions pane; everything else was offloaded to the bot. The bot scraped the old site and rebuilt everything FROM SCRATCH in like 15 minutes. I didn’t even hit 20% of my 5-hour cap on my $20-a-month Opus 5.5 plan. 2 years ago this pipeline would have been a full SaaS product that took weeks/months to build… now it’s free and takes 15 minutes. There is no 3rd-party app builder, and GitHub wasn’t even designed for this, but it just works.
You may be thinking… is Microsoft gonna try and capitalize on this? They can clearly see “slop” DDoSing their services and see the trend, and maybe build some products, like integrate with some AI… and maybe some special “MCP”… right? Lol NO bro! Remember, this whole pipeline was zero-shot. I read 0 of the code; the agent fully ported the WordPress site on its own. I just prompted “I want the user to just type a bot command into an issue and update their own site, and AI deploys everything in a deterministic way using xyz.” This is AGI, it doesn’t need any product, it just straps onto whatever exists.
I think people are not even trying to cope anymore; everyone in tech is getting rug-pulled ultra hard right now, it’s not even funny lol.
For example, yes, I picked GitHub for this client because it’s low-stakes hosting, but my other repo is 8 years old with 4k commits and I actually migrated AWAY from GitHub to Forgejo, and it builds fast and works better than GitHub. So the thing GitHub was actually designed for is not even what I’m using it for… but for easy one-off “slop” (it’s not even slop cuz it’s better code than any human would ever write), GitHub is perfect.
