# I Built OfficeClone: A Free, Privacy-First Web Office Suite with Built-in AI

  💡 Why I Built It

Most modern office tools require expensive monthly subscriptions, heavy desktop installations, or store your private documents on third-party servers. 

Coming from a software development and civil engineering background, I wanted to build an alternative that gives full control back to the user:

**Zero Server Retention:** Your documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs are processed locally on your device. Nothing is saved or tracked on external servers.

**100% Free & Ad-Free:** No paywalls, no intrusive ads, and no mandatory registration.
- 
**Runs Everywhere (PWA):** Works smoothly on Windows, Linux, Mac, tablets, and phones directly from the browser, with PWA support.
