I wanted to build something that doesn't produce AI slop. Marquee turns a sentence into a designed landing page or multi-page site.

The first version took about a day. Making the pages not look like AI took the rest of the week.

What worked: giving the generator real design patterns (103 of them, researched from Mobbin, plus a design reference library), and having a review browser screenshot each page, critique it and fix it, up to three rounds, before it ships. What broke: the build time limit on a free hosting plan, and an empty API balance during testing, which took builds down until I topped it up.
