Hyundai unveils eighth-generation Avante with AI infotainment

Hyundai Motor Co. unveiled the eighth-generation Avante compact sedan at the Busan International Mobility Show, featuring a redesigned exterior, larger dimensions, and a new AI-powered infotainment system. The car offers gasoline and hybrid powertrains, and introduces Software-Defined Vehicle features including a large-language-model-based voice assistant called Gleo AI. Hyundai plans to announce pricing and start orders in the third quarter.

Yonhap reports Hyundai Motor Co. on June 26 unveiled the all-new Avante , the eighth-generation compact sedan, at the Busan International Mobility Show . The model is the first full redesign since 2020 and features a roomier interior, new exterior lighting and larger overall dimensions. Chosun reports the car measures 4,765 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase. Yonhap reports powertrains include a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 149 horsepower and a 1.6-liter hybrid system with 157 horsepower combined output. Yonhap also reports the vehicle introduces Hyundai's Software-Defined Vehicle features including Shift-by-Wire and navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, and ships with the new Pleos Connect infotainment system powered by the company's large-language-model Gleo AI for natural voice commands and AI-assisted searches. Yonhap reports Hyundai said it plans to announce pricing and begin taking orders in the third quarter.
