Huawei unveils what it calls the world’s first 3D data center

Huawei unveiled what it calls the world's first 3D data center at an AI data-center conference in Wuhu, Anhui, stacking cooling, IT equipment, power and backup-power layers vertically instead of horizontally. Huawei says the architecture supports zone-based isolation and cooling, shorter power and cooling routes, standardized prefabrication and intelligent operations while cutting electromechanical delivery time by half. Huawei Cloud is building 3D data centers in Guizhou, Inner Mongolia and Anhui.
