How to Use AI as a Language Learner A new universal prompt lets language learners use ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to get grammar corrections and evaluations alongside conversational help. The prompt, created by an unnamed author, is added to each assistant's personalization settings and works across all three platforms. It addresses learners' fear of making mistakes by having the AI actively correct errors. How to Use AI as a Language Learner If you're a language learner who's been thinking about using AI in your target language, you've found the right place. My personal concern with using AI was: what if I make a mistake? How would I know? To solve this problem, I created a universal prompt that you can add to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. With it, the assistant doesn't just help you — it also evaluates and corrects your grammar. Follow these 3 steps to set it up Works with ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. 1. Which language are you learning? 2. Select and copy this global prompt. 3. Add the copied prompt to your AI assistant's context. Paste the prompt into the Custom instructions section of ChatGPT Personalization https://chatgpt.com/ settings/Personalization . Open Gemini personal context https://gemini.google.com/saved-info , tick the Your instructions for Gemini checkbox, then click + Add and paste the prompt. Paste the prompt into the Instructions for Claude section of your Claude profile https://claude.ai/settings/profile . Not gonna lie, it will be a bit difficult at the beginning. You will have to compose yourself to write your prompts to AI in a more-or-less sane way. But the more you do it, the better and easier it becomes.
