How I Built an Educational Android Quiz App Using Kotlin & Jetpack Compose

El Mostafa Lafryhi, an Android and Unity developer from Morocco, built an educational Android quiz app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The app features interactive multiple-choice questions with timers, sound effects, instant feedback, score tracking, and a modern Material Design interface, with offline support and easy customization. Lafryhi is currently working on AI-powered educational tools, driving test applications, and interactive Unity games.

Hello DEV Community! 👋

My name is El Mostafa Lafryhi, an Android and Unity developer from Morocco.

I enjoy building educational applications that help students learn through interactive quizzes, games, and AI-powered tools.

Today, I'd like to introduce one of the projects I've been working on.

📱 The Idea

The goal was simple:

Create an Android application that makes learning more engaging than traditional methods.

Instead of static questions on paper, students answer interactive multiple-choice questions with:

⏱️ Timer

🔊 Sound effects

✅ Instant feedback

📊 Score tracking

🎨 Modern Material Design interface

🛠️ Technologies Used

Kotlin

Jetpack Compose

Android Studio

Material 3

SQLite / Firebase (depending on the project)

Git

✨ Features

Interactive quizzes

Beautiful UI

Offline support

Fast performance

Educational content

Easy to customize

💡 Why I Build Educational Apps

I believe technology can make education more enjoyable and accessible.

As a developer, my goal is not only to write code but also to create tools that help students learn better.

🚀 What's Next?

I'm currently working on:

AI-powered educational tools

Driving test applications

Interactive Unity games

More Android apps built with Jetpack Compose

🤝 Let's Connect

I'm always interested in collaborating on:

Android projects

Educational technology

AI applications

Open-source projects
