No, not really, because what you’re getting for just $499.99 is pretty outstanding.

The big thing here is that this is a mini-LED TV, so you’re essentially getting a backlight that’s far more precise than typical LED/LCD models. This means greater control of brightness, contrast, and color for superior picture quality and HDR presentation. Speaking of HDR, one big differentiator between this and an entry-level TV is its comprehensive support for the format. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+; both of which are dynamic, not static, metadata. It sounds complicated, but it basically means that this TV can adjust its settings scene-by-scene, or dynamically, for the best possible viewing experience, rather than just one fixed setting throughout a film or show.
On to gaming and motion handling performance, where this TV brings a lot to the table for the price. It’s native 144Hz and features FreeSync Premium Pro, which is seriously impressive for the price. With its HDMI 2.1 compatibility, you can link this up with a high-end gaming console or PC and game at up to 144fps in 4K, and it’ll be super smooth, too. There are a few more bells and whistles to this TV worth knowing about, which I’ll go into shortly, but I’d say at this price, this TV makes a lot of sense if you want something great for movies, shows, and gaming on PS5 or PC, without the huge price tag.

Is this Hisense TV right for you? #
This is a very well-balanced TV for the price, especially if you’re after excellent gaming performance. I’d say that the only thing is its smaller size, which isn’t going to be quite as cinematic or immersive as larger sizes. That being said, depending on how close you sit to the TV itself, this may not be an issue at all. For example, I used to have a 43-inch TV in a smaller room, and it was more than big enough for me, as I was around one meter away from it. 55 inches would have been enormous in my case.
