The update introduces a Liquid Glass slider for icon legibility and other minor fixes, but Siri AI will not be supported on all devices, including the 2022 Apple Watch Ultra.", "body_md": "Apple’s white whale, the AI-enhanced Siri, will finally be available to download later this month. The entire software suite, including iOS 27, macOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and more, should be available starting Sept. 14.\n\nIf you haven’t already tried either the developer or [public betas](https://gizmodo.com/the-long-delayed-new-siri-makes-its-public-debut-2000785101), iOS 27’s big feature is the new AI assistant tied to Siri. You can talk with Siri as normal, but now the chatbot has access to “personal context,” which means users can allow it access to your calendar and emails if you want it to complete tasks on your behalf.\n\nSiri AI is rolling out as a “beta” on Monday, Sept. 14. It’s only available in English to start. French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish should be along in October, with other languages following later. The rest of the Apple Intelligence features should be available in more languages to start.\n\nGizmodo’s Senior Editor of Consumer Tech, Raymond Wong, has been [rather positive about the experience](https://gizmodo.com/apple-fcking-did-it-one-month-with-siri-ai-2000784845) from beta testing, but there are more updates to care about as well. iOS 27 introduces a [Liquid Glass slider](https://gizmodo.com/apple-announces-ios-27-for-iphone-with-new-liquid-glass-slider-2000768712) to make your translucent icons a little more legible. There are [several more minor upgrades besides,](https://gizmodo.com/im-more-excited-for-the-tiny-changes-in-apples-27-software-updates-than-siri-ai-tbh-2000769815) including a fix to that [one optical illusion](https://gizmodo.com/oh-thank-god-ios-27-fixes-the-liquid-glass-optical-illusion-that-broke-my-brain-2000769666) that caused such a ruckus at the launch of iOS 26. If you know, you know.\n\nApple’s macOS 27 Golden Gate includes [those same Siri features,](https://gizmodo.com/thank-god-macos-golden-gates-siri-is-a-terse-idiot-2000785982) which we’ve found occasionally helpful as an assistant or alternative to the ever-degrading Google Search. Golden Gate also adds several helpful AI features, like the ability to prompt Shortcuts to make you an easy-to-use macro. These features will be available to all M-series MacBooks, though [not all iPhones](https://gizmodo.com/with-ios-27-apple-is-creating-an-ai-gated-community-inside-its-walled-garden-2000769406) will see the Siri enhancements. Furthermore, if you were hoping to use Siri from your wrist, you have to [own a more recent Apple Watch](https://gizmodo.com/apple-is-leaving-its-first-apple-watch-ultra-in-the-dust-2000771952). For instance, even the [Apple Watch Ultra](https://gizmodo.com/apple-watch-ultra-series-8-se-2-reveal-price-and-mor-1849504872) from 2022 won’t support AI Siri.\n\nOther software updates may be a little less exciting. iPads with more recent A-series and M-series chips and the [Apple Vision Pro](https://gizmodo.com/apple-vision-pro-m5-review-the-crown-of-the-dorks-2000675079) are all getting access to Siri. At least, you won’t have to wait long to find out if there are any features you most appreciate or anything you don’t enjoy. Just know one thing—love it or hate it—Liquid Glass is here to stay.", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai", "canonical_source": "https://gizmodo.com/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai-2000809157", "published_at": "2026-09-09 18:34:46+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-09-09 18:43:49.617921+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["artificial-intelligence", "ai-products", "ai-agents"], "entities": ["Apple", "Siri", "iOS 27", "macOS 27", "iPadOS 27", "watchOS 27", "Apple Watch Ultra", "Raymond Wong"], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/heres-when-you-can-finally-download-ios-27-and-siri-ai.jsonld"}}
