{"slug": "herdr-app-mod", "title": "Herdr app mod", "summary": "A developer has released a Greenflagged mod for the Herdr agentic development app that displays the dependency status of JavaScript projects, with Python support planned. The mod reports twelve status labels across three levels — Blocked (`rejected`, `not on npm`, `uninstallable`), Attention (`needs upgrade`, `older version only`, `deprecated`, `can't check`, `needs overrides`, `in review`, `not imported`, `requested`) and OK (`greenflagged`) — and requires a Greenflagged API token, which the mod walks users through setting up with a free account. The mod is installed by instructing an agent to add github.com/greenflagged/herdr-greenflagged to the Herdr app.", "body_md": "# Herdr app mod\n\nGreenflagged Herdr app mod shows dependency status of your project.\n\n[Herdr](https://herdr.dev/) is a wonderful platform for agentic development that I’ve been using for a couple of months.\n\nThey also just released [an app](https://github.com/herdrdev/herdr-app/) that I’ve been having a lot of fun customizing with Claude.\n\nI created a Greenflagged mod that will show the dependency status of your JavaScript (and soon will support python) projects. I find this useful when working across multiple javascript projects and trying to make sure they are all up to date. Greenflagged is agent focused, and watching how it negotiates with the registry, as well as the health of your dependencies is very helpful.\n\n## What each status means\n\n| Label | Level | Meaning | \n|---|---|---|\n| `rejected` | Blocked | The registry does not serve this package version. | \n| `not on npm` | Blocked | “npm has no such package or version.” | \n| `uninstallable` | Blocked | This package depends on a package that is not yet Greenflagged | \n| `needs upgrade` | Attention | This cannot be used without a version upgrade. | \n| `older version only` | Attention | “Only older versions are greenflagged. Pin suggested” | \n| `deprecated` | Attention | “Every greenflagged version is deprecated upstream. There may be a new package to try” | \n| `can't check` | Attention | “The registry doesn’t read “next” or similar tags. Use a version range.” | \n| `needs overrides` | Attention | Is servable with an override | \n| `in review` | Attention | Dependency is being reviewed and is not accepted or rejected yet. | \n| `not imported` | Attention | No one has asked for this yet, it hasn’t been scanned. | \n| `requested` | Attention | “Queued for import and review.” | \n| `greenflagged` | OK |  | \n\n## Install\n\nInstall with your agent: `add github.com/greenflagged/herdr-greenflagged mod to my Herdr-app`\n\nUse requires a Greenflagged API token, which the mod will walk you through setting up a free account.", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/herdr-app-mod", "canonical_source": "https://blog.greenflagged.dev/posts/herdr-app-mod/", "published_at": "2026-10-30 00:00:00+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-10-30 18:49:14.066400+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-agents", "ai-tools", "developer-tools"], "entities": ["Herdr", "Greenflagged", "Claude", "npm", "GitHub"], "also_reported_by": [], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/herdr-app-mod", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/herdr-app-mod.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/herdr-app-mod.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/herdr-app-mod.jsonld"}}
