# Help Make the New VS Code Pet Work with ALL AI Agents (Cline, Tabby, Kilo Code)! 🐾 > Source: > Published: 2026-09-12 11:06:27+00:00 Hey fellow developers! 👋 VS Code recently introduced a fun experimental feature: an interactive "pet" companion that sits above the chat input and reacts to AI agent activity. The only catch? **It currently only reacts to GitHub Copilot.** I believe this awesome feature should also recognize free and open-source AI coding assistants like **Cline, Kilo Code, Tabby, Codeium, Roo Code**, and others. I've opened an official feature request in the VS Code repository, and it has been accepted as a "Backlog Candidate". However, there's a rule: **it needs 20 upvotes (👍) within 60 days** to stay open and be considered for development.
