# Hang Ten Systems raises $32M to disrupt IT services with AI

Vishal Sikka's new venture backed by Mayfield and Aramco Ventures aims to rebuild enterprise software delivery from scratch using agentic AI

Dr. Vishal Sikka, the former CEO of Infosys and a veteran of SAP’s executive board, just pulled $32 million in seed funding for his latest venture. Hang Ten Systems, a Palo Alto-based enterprise AI services firm, wants to fundamentally change how large companies build, modify, and run their software.

The round was led by Mayfield, with participation from Aramco Ventures and a group of angel investors. Mayfield is led by Navin Chaddha, a former classmate of Sikka from Stanford. Seasoned board member Jerry Yang also adds credibility and enhances the network of influence for Hang Ten Systems.

## What Hang Ten actually does

Hang Ten uses agentic code generation and a reusable skills library to do the work faster and cheaper. Agentic AI systems can take a high-level instruction, break it into subtasks, execute them, and iterate, all with minimal human intervention.

Sikka has assembled a core team drawn from SAP, Infosys, and VianAI, his previous AI venture. Early client engagements with Fresenius and Siemens Energy suggest the company isn’t starting small. Both are multinational industrial giants with complex IT environments.

## Why Sikka’s track record matters

He ran Infosys, one of the world’s largest IT services companies, with over 200,000 employees during his tenure. Before that, he was a member of SAP’s Executive Board, where he helped architect the company’s in-memory computing platform, HANA. His tenure as CEO at Infosys ran from 2013 to 2017.

VianAI, Sikka’s venture between Infosys and Hang Ten, was focused on enterprise AI applications. Several VianAI team members have followed him to Hang Ten.
