Grok keeps sending gibberish responses to users

XAI's Grok chatbot has been sending gibberish responses to some users, with one user receiving the message "match it without and your they and two for planets can practical and often cheese…" after asking for a PDF. The glitch, reported by users of Grok Lite on Grok.com since Wednesday morning, was confirmed by the Grok account on X, which called it a "rare temporary generation glitch" and noted that official status at status.x.ai shows all services operational. TechCrunch could not reproduce the issue, and xAI did not respond to a request for comment.

Affected users who spoke to TechCrunch said they were using Grok Lite, and noticed the issues as early as Wednesday morning. TechCrunch was unable to reproduce the issue in our own testing, and it is likely affecting only a small subset of users. X.ai did not respond to a request for comment.
