## Why it matters

The changelog confirms the shared-agent management and voice features, but dates them to versions 0.64.0 and 0.65.0. The discrepancy shows why app-string sightings should not be treated as release notes.

SpaceXAI's Grok Bot added manager controls for shared Team Bots and voice calls with them in releases posted on September 30th, according to the product's [official changelog](https://x.ai/changelog/bot). The features match items in an [X post by @blankspeaker](https://x.com/blankspeaker/status/2107375258068255214), which assigns them to version 0.68.1. SpaceXAI's changelog does not list that version: as of October 6th, it identifies v0.66.0, dated October 2nd, as the latest release.

The X post is not an official release note. Its author says the feature list was generated from newly detected app flags and strings, and warns that the stable version could differ. The post also cautions that some features may not be finished or active. SpaceXAI's changelog confirms the two collaboration features in earlier entries: manager controls appear under v0.64.0, and Team Bot voice chat under v0.65.0, both dated September 30th.

The manager control lets the creator of a published Team Bot appoint teammates who can change its profile, skills, plugins, secrets and Slack app. The official note describes editing authority, not a complete permissions or audit system. The voice feature lets a teammate call a Team Bot from their own conversation with it.

SpaceXAI launched [Team Bots](https://x.ai/news/team-bots) on September 28th, describing them as shared agents with common files, tools and skills. The company says each teammate's conversation remains private, while the Bot draws on context and skills shared with the team. Team Bots are available in public beta on Teams and Enterprise plans, according to SpaceXAI.

In the product's [documentation](https://docs.x.ai/grok-bot/team-bots), a Team Bot owner sets up and publishes the agent; teammates can then use it in the app or Slack. The owner maintains its shared configuration, while team members' use counts against each person's own Grok Bot allowance. Manager appointments let teammates take on some setup work while preserving the owner's control over who can edit the Bot.

Grok Bot is built around persistent agents that work on cloud computers with browser, filesystem and terminal access, according to its [product overview](https://docs.x.ai/grok-bot/overview). SpaceXAI says tasks can continue when a user's laptop is closed. The company, founded by [Elon Musk](https://x.com/elonmusk), has framed the product around agents that carry work across tools. Team sharing extends that design to group workflows, with manager controls and voice calls adding administration and interaction features.

Access is bundled with paid individual Cursor plans and Cursor Teams, or available through eligible individual SuperGrok subscriptions, according to the overview. SpaceXAI does not list a separate Grok Bot price there. Its September announcement says Team Bots are in public beta for Teams and Enterprise customers.

The X post also lists proposed features including passkey spending approvals, document search and shared Bot access controls. Those items remain outside this account of released functionality: the post labels them as work in progress, and the official changelog entries cited above do not establish that they shipped. The changelog confirms the manager and voice features in versions 0.64.0 and 0.65.0, not 0.68.1.
