Googles Gemini Spark is now available to more users

Google's Gemini Spark AI agent is now available to U.S. users on the $20/month Google AI Pro tier and globally on the $100/month Google AI Ultra tier, but remains unavailable in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Nigeria. Based on Gemini 3.5, the agent works in the background to provide daily task summaries from calendars, documents, notes, and inboxes, with Google promising rapid expansion to more users and businesses in the coming weeks.

Google's Gemini Spark, the company's AI agent that completes tasks and monitors stuff in the background for you, is now more widely available. You still can't get it for free, though.

Starting today, Gemini Spark is available for users in the U.S. who are paying for the $20/month Google Ai Pro tier. Globally, you'll need to pay for Google AI Ultra, which starts at about $100 (depending on the market).

The one exception to this are folks in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, Switzerland, or Nigeria, which aren't (yet) getting access to Gemini Spark.

Google's support documents say you shouldn't worry if you don't have access to Spark yet, as the company is "rapidly expanding access to more users and businesses over the coming weeks."

Gemini Spark is based on Gemini 3.5 and, like other similar agents, is designed to work in the background. Offering a daily summary of your tasks for the day, based on your calendar, documents, notes, and inbox, is one example of what it can do.

Competitors offer a similar agent, and for a similar price. OpenAI's ChatGPT Work is only available on paid tiers, as is Anthropic's Claude Cowork. Pricing for both starts at about $20 per month, though the difference is that they're available in Europe and the UK.
