The update, version UTTK.260317.003, prepares the device for the upcoming Gemini speakers and upgrades Thread to version 1.4. Besides the April 2026 security patch, UTTK.260317.003 introduces “Google Home Speaker audio output support.” This lets you pair the new Gemini speakers for spatial surround-sound audio. The device launches later this week, with Google making the TV Streamer update available just before that. There’s also Thread credentials sharing via QR codes. Go to Network & Internet in Settings to “Share Thread network credentials.” This release brings the Google TV Streamer to Thread 1.4.
