Google Shows AI Overviews Above Stock Charts For Stock Price Queries Google is now displaying AI Overviews above stock charts for stock price queries such as [GOOG stock] and [MSFT stock], a change from earlier placements below the chart, according to a report by Barry Schwartz on Search Engine Roundtable. The AI Overviews appear to reduce the relevance of search results for these queries, as noted by Len Raleigh on X. Google seems to be showing AI Overviews at the top of the search results page when you specifically search for stock price queries - such as for GOOG stock or MSFT stock and so on. I was able to replicate this myself and it is just weird to show the AI Overview at the top for this queries and it seems to make the search results less relevant. Len Raleigh notified me of this on X https://x.com/lenraleigh/status/2091946986291216807 and like I said, I see it as well. This is different from when Gagan Ghotra spotted this https://x.com/gaganghotra /status/2068968320033051078 a couple of months ago. In that case, Google placed the AI Overview below the stock chart, not above the stock chart. Here are some examples: Here is Len's example: Google is now showing AI Overviews when you look up stock prices..
