Google Search Using Gemini 3.8 Flash In AI Mode

Google has rolled out Gemini 3.8 Flash in AI Mode within Google Search, available globally to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as announced by Robby Stein, VP of Product at Google Search, and Nick Fox, head of Google Search. The model, introduced less than three weeks after Gemini 3.7 Flash, is described as Google's most intelligent workhorse model, with significant improvements in software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning.

This comes only a couple of weeks after Google brought Gemini 3.7 Flash to AI Mode within Google Search. This will work in Google Search's AI Mode for Google AI Pro & Ultra subscribers globally. This is a global roll out and if you are a subscriber, you can access it by clicking the plus icon and then selecting the model.
