Gemini Spark has been getting all the love from Google over the past couple of months. The company has been trying to make Spark easier to access on mobile and is adding new features and capabilities to the AI assistant. Now, it has added yet another integration to Gemini Spark that could make it even more useful.
Google announced today that Google Photos can now be integrated with Gemini Spark (spotted via PetaPixel). This means you can finally get Spark to do all the busywork on your backed-up photos that you’ve been meaning to get to but just haven’t found the time for.
Spark can perform multi-stage workflows in Google Photos on your behalf, so you can get it to manage, edit, and enhance your photos, and share them with your friends and family with a single prompt. You can also use Spark to extract text from images, create summaries of events, and even create visual stories.
Perhaps even more useful is the ability to set up recurring tasks in Google Photos with Spark. You can ask Spark to go through your Photos library every weekend, find the best images of your kids or pets, add them to a shared album, and send them to your family or friends. It will then do this automatically every weekend, so you don’t have to manually find and share those photos with your loved ones.
Google Photos integration with Gemini Spark is currently only available in the US to users aged 18 or older with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. The company is rolling it out gradually, which means it might be a while before you can connect Google Photos to Gemini Spark.
