Google launches Gemini 3.5 Transcribe, which powers Gboard Rambler & is coming to Chrome

Google introduced Gemini 3.5 Transcribe, its most precise speech-to-text model, which achieves a 4.0% word error rate for streaming and 2.6% for non-streaming use-cases, and is now powering Gboard Rambler on Android, the Gemini macOS app, and Google Antigravity, with Chrome support coming next. The model supports over 85 languages, custom vocabulary, multi-speaker identification, and function calling, and improves latency by 70% over Chirp 3, according to Google. Developers can access it in public preview via the Gemini API and Google Antigravity, with enterprise availability through the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
