Gartner named Google a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management for the fourth consecutive year, positioning Google highest in Ability to Execute of all vendors evaluated, and ranked Google Cloud first in every use case in the accompanying 2026 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Container Management report. Google cited Gartner's prediction that by 2028, 95% of new AI deployments will use Kubernetes, up from less than 30% in 2025, and detailed 2026 GKE and Cloud Run updates including an ML-driven GKE Inference Gateway that cuts Time-to-First-Token by up to 70%, automatic KV cache storage tiering that improves TTFT by 40% and throughput by 70%, node spin-up up to 4x faster, pod startup up to 80% faster, and Cloud Run on-demand serverless GPU scale-to-zero on NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs that provisions in under 5 seconds.
