Google announced a €13 billion ($15.1 billion) investment in AI infrastructure and clean energy in Finland, its largest single investment in Europe, planned for 2027 and 2028. The funding will expand Google's Hamina data center and build new facilities in Kajaani, Muhos and Vaala to power Gemini, Search, Maps and YouTube, alongside a 22-year agreement to buy up to half the electricity from one unit at Fortum's Loviisa nuclear plant.
