Long cited Reddit, Salesforce, Amazon and Adobe among the brands returning AI Overviews, while Google's own name and news publications did not, and most examples appeared mid-page rather than at the top of the search results.", "body_md": "Google seems to be showing more and more AI Overviews these days and even for many large brand names. It don't have a ton of data but Google does seems to be showing more and AI Overviews for almost every large brand name except for Google's own name and news publications.\n\nThis was reported by Chris Long on [X](https://x.com/chris_nectiv/status/2105296296798298181) who wrote, \"Google is starting to show AI Overviews for a ton of branded queries. Here are screenshots of other brands, I scrolled down in all these examples - so these are mid-page examples:\n\nI don't mind as much if the AI Overview for branded or navigational queries are mid-page as I would if they were above the main company's snippet in the search results.  Now I am kind of sad my brand does not show an AI Overview for just the brand name.  I mean, it does not show for RustyBrick but it does for Search Engine Roundtable, but I think only because it has a [search profile](https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-profiles-updates-42098.html):\n\nI should note, Chris also said this [about two years ago](https://www.seroundtable.com/google-ai-overviews-for-branded-navigational-queries-38122.html) but now AI Overviews in general show up for way more queries then it has back then.\n\nForum discussion at [X](https://x.com/chris_nectiv/status/2105296296798298181).", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/google-ai-overviews-return-for-many-large-brand-names", "canonical_source": "https://www.seroundtable.com/google-ai-overviews-large-brand-names-42195.html", "published_at": "2026-09-30 16:12:00+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-09-30 16:49:20.864795+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-search", "generative-engine-optimization", "artificial-intelligence"], "entities": ["Google", "Chris Long", "Reddit", "Salesforce", "Amazon", "Adobe", "Wikipedia", "Search Engine Roundtable"], "also_reported_by": [], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/google-ai-overviews-return-for-many-large-brand-names", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/google-ai-overviews-return-for-many-large-brand-names.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/google-ai-overviews-return-for-many-large-brand-names.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/google-ai-overviews-return-for-many-large-brand-names.jsonld"}}
