# Google AI Overviews Get A Character Counter Tool

Google will now give you an interactive widget within AI Overviews for when you are looking for a simple character counter website. Websites that offer character counting service features are in trouble.

Now when you search for variations of [[character counter](https://www.google.com/search?q=character+counter)] queries, Google AI Overviews will load an "interactive Character Counter" widget.

This was spotted by Damir B who informed me of this on [X](https://x.com/DamirBilalov/status/2096314952088776723), he said, "wordcounter. net and other similar sites are going to suffer heavily from this."

I mean, we've seen this over and over again - from [weather](https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-weathernext-ai-40448.html) results, [dictionary](https://www.seroundtable.com/archives/022607.html) results, movies, TV shows, [emojis](https://www.seroundtable.com/google-copyable-emojis-ai-overviews-41929.html) and so on.  Google will just give people the answer in the search results, making the website options obsolete.
