Gemini for macOS rolling out voice control and Gboard Rambler-level transcription

Google is rolling out advanced voice control for Gemini for macOS, enabling intelligent dictation and context-aware commands. The update, announced at I/O 2026, lets users speak naturally into any window, with features like automatic filler-word removal and the ability to summarize files, rewrite text, or generate images by voice. The new capability is available globally in English with version 1.88 of the app.
