On the voice assistant front, Google has expanded the conversational memory that allows you to ask a follow-up without repeating the original command or context. The window “across the entire Gemini for Home experience is now 15 minutes.” This lets you say: ”Hey Google, turn on the kitchen lights.” … then a few minutes later say, “Hey Google, dim it to 50%.” The other update brings Gemini Live to the first-generation Google Home Mini and Nest Hub. Say “Hey Google, let’s chat” to start the back-and-forth conversational experience. It’s already available for the Nest Mini, Nest Audio, Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, and Google Home Speaker.
