After [introducing](https://9to5google.com/2026/05/19/gemini-app-google-io-2026/) at I/O 2026 in May, Google is making Daily Brief in the Gemini app available for free in the US.

Daily Brief generates a list of your to-dos and priorities every morning. Gemini uses Personal Intelligence to look at your Gmail, Google Calendar, and other Connected Apps, as well as past Gemini chats.

The Daily Brief starts with a “Top of mind” section that shows “timely, actionable items,” such as tasks with upcoming deadlines. “FYI” will show other items that have dates attached. “Looking ahead” is the final section with a focus on long-term goals and “suggested next steps to help you achieve them.”

You can tap on items to “Mark complete” or start a “Chat” with Gemini. There’s also the ability to leave “Helpful” or “Not helpful” feedback.

Example use cases include:

- **For students** : Manage class schedules, organize study plans, and track applications.
- **For entrepreneurs** : Surface actionable client emails and update task reminders.
- **For parents** : Manage school communications, track family milestones, and handle household tasks.
- **For job seekers** : Quickly act on recruiter inquiries, prepare for interviews, and monitor application statuses.

As of last Friday, Gemini Daily Brief no longer requires a Google AI subscription in the US. It’s available to personal Google Accounts with Personal Intelligence, Memory, and the Google Workspace integration enabled.

You can access it from the Gemini side panel, with Google also sending a notification every morning. You can disable that alert by going to the account menu and configuring “Notifications.”

Another way to interact with the digest is through Gemini Live: “What’s my daily brief?”
