A previously leaked PEGI rating for the PS5 version, and a now-deleted trailer featuring the PS5 logo on the game’s cover art, suggested it was actually happening.\nNow we know this definitely isn’t the case, as E-Day was officially announced for Xbox Series X/S and PC only. “It was never changed,” said studio brand director Nicole Fawcette, suggesting it was a simple mistake rather than a last-minute decision.\n\nNo generative AI in Gears of War E-Day – they’ve got a “kickass” art team\nAs for gen AI, a recent interview with IGN reveals ‘there was no use of generative AI in creating any part of Gears of War: E-Day. “We have a kickass concept art team, and our art book is going to rock,” says Matt Searcy (the same as above), alluding to the idea that The Coalition is proud of its designs and doesn’t fast-track the concepting stage with the use of generative AI art.\nFor players who wish to avoid generative AI in gaming, it’s a nice statement to hear officially being made.
