Hi, my account Yashsalidev (email verified) can’t start any free Space. Restarting Yashsalidev/chest-xray-ai fails with “You’ve reached your cpu-basic quota limit” even though it’s my only Space and it’s d. Could you enable the free CPU tier? Thanks!
Not a per-account bug on your side: this exact error shows up on brand-new accounts with a single d Space in a lot of threads since June/July (PhoeSai99, ibbo2121, maelanoi and others), so the free cpu-basic quota does look like it’s effectively 0 for a lot of new accounts right now. An HF staff member replied in one of those threads that running a Space on cpu-basic requires PRO, even though the docs still list CPU Basic as free (8 concurrent CPU units on paper), so docs and actual enforcement don’t match at the moment.
Your options: subscribe to PRO, or switch the Space to the Static SDK, which is still free (works if the model can run client-side, e.g. Transformers.js). If you want a definitive answer on whether your account is supposed to have free CPU quota, email website@huggingface.co with your username and Space id.
Hi @Yashsalidev creating a new Space that runs on compute (Gradio or Docker) requires a paid plan. You can upgrade to PRO or add credits to your account to upgrade your Space to more CPU/GPU hardware options at anytime.
