Fortinet expands AI security portfolio with Virtue AI acquisition

Fortinet has acquired Virtue AI, expanding its Security for AI portfolio to address the expanding attack surface of AI applications and autonomous agents, which now includes prompts, models, agents, MCP tools, API calls, and AI infrastructure. The acquisition builds on Fortinet's existing AI security offerings, such as the FortiGate Hyperscale Firewall.
