Surface Laptop Ultra, available from October 16, is built on NVIDIA RTX Spark: a Grace CPU with up to 20 cores, a Blackwell RTX GPU, and up to 128 GB of memory shared by both. Microsoft says it runs models with more than 120B parameters on the laptop itself.
We're bringing Forjal to it.
Hybrid intelligence, with the agent you already use# #
At its October 7 event, Microsoft described where Windows is going: "a platform where agents can run locally when it makes sense, reach the cloud when they need to." It is the idea Forjal started from: cloud and local AI, working as one.
Forjal brings that to the agents people already work with: Claude Code, Codex, Pi, OpenCode, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent. Your cloud agent keeps planning and reviewing the work. When a task can run on your computer, it hands it to a local agent, which works through it where your files are and sends the result back. You keep your agent, your projects and the way you already work.
With 128 GB of unified memory, that local agent doesn't have to run a small model.
What we're building for Surface Laptop Ultra# #
A GPU lane for Windows on Arm. Forjal already ships for Windows on Arm on Snapdragon X. RTX Spark pairs an Arm CPU with an NVIDIA GPU, so we're adding a lane that runs models on the Blackwell GPU through llama.cpp.
Open models in the 100B+ class. The first is Qwen3.5-122B-A10B, already in Forjal's catalog on Apple Silicon, and more will follow. Each model starts as a candidate, and we'll publish how it does on the real machine before we call it ready.
Snapdragon X2 as well. The new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop on Snapdragon X2 Plus ship October 13. Our Windows on Arm build runs models on the Hexagon NPU through Qualcomm GenieX, and we're validating it on the X2 generation.
## Get it early[#](#get-it-early)
If you have a Surface Laptop Ultra on order, we'd like to hear from you. Request early access at [forjal.com](https://www.forjal.com) and tell us which agent you use. Surface Laptop Ultra owners will be among the first we invite.
