Fleet announced today that it has joined Project Glasswing, Anthropic’s controlled-access program for its Claude Mythos Preview. Fleet will use the access to evaluate how frontier AI can strengthen the security of device management systems, protocols, and the infrastructure around them, with a focus on closing the gap between how quickly threats emerge and how quickly IT teams can respond.
Fleet’s own Road to AI in IT research found that 79% of orgs take more than a day to deploy critical security patches, even as attackers are exploiting vulnerabilities within just a few hours. That gap is the problem Fleet is aiming to close, and the company says early access to Claude Mythos Preview gives it a chance to test emerging AI capabilities against real-world endpoint management workflows before general release.
“The speed of today’s AI-driven attacks has fundamentally changed what organizations expect from their technology providers,” said Gabe Chan, Staff IT Engineer at Abridge. “Vulnerabilities are manipulated by bad actors almost instantaneously now. As a result, vendors must continuously improve how they identify, evaluate and respond to risk. We’re encouraged to see Fleet investing in research that helps strengthen its own security while contributing practical learnings back to its customers and the industry.”
Fleet says the work will focus on understanding endpoint state, identifying remediation priorities, and increasing the speed and safety of internal security operations. Because Fleet is open source, it says it will share what it learns openly so the broader device management and security community can build on it and everyone can become more secure.
