OpenAI on October 15 added native GPT-Live integration with its Decisions API, letting apps act while a user is still speaking, and the next day let all API customers create custom voices from a text description for GPT-Live sessions and added nine built-in voices across German, French, Hindi, Japanese and Korean. Anthropic on October 15 took fast mode for Claude Opus 5.5 out of research preview, removing the access request and the fast-mode-2026-02-01 header requirement, adding a default rate limit on the Start, Build and Scale tiers, and extending support to Microsoft Foundry deployments, while fast mode for Opus 5 and Opus 4.8 still requires the header.
