Feature Request / Question: Non-arXiv Preprints (Zenodo) on HF Papers

Hugging Face's paper submission pipeline currently only accepts arXiv identifiers, rejecting Zenodo records such as zenodo.19848279, according to a feature request from independent researcher Massimo. The request asks Hugging Face to support Zenodo DOIs and broader preprint repositories, and seeks guidance on linking preprints to hackathon collections and Spaces.

Hi Hugging Face Team, I hope you’re doing well. I recently attempted to submit our preprint/working paper to hf.co/papers/submit https://huggingface.co/papers/submit , but noticed that the submission pipeline currently only accepts arXiv identifiers, rejecting Zenodo records as not supported format e.g., zenodo.19848279 . As independent researchers publishing I would love to see support for Zenodo DOIs and broader preprint repositories on Hugging Face Papers. In the meantime, could you let us know: Is there any existing way or upcoming feature to index/feature working papers hosted on Zenodo or OpenAIRE-backed repositories? Are there recommended best practices to link research preprints to our Hackathon Collection and Space so the community can easily review and cite the work?
