Factory launches Router to pick cheaper AI models for coding tasks

Factory AI launched Factory Router, a model selection system that automatically chooses the most cost-effective large language model for each coding task to reduce token spending without sacrificing performance. The feature is available in private research preview within Factory's CLI and Desktop App, as announced in a company blog post and a 16-post thread on X.
